Behavioral Requirements
(How the playable should behave during user interaction)
- The playable must not auto-click or auto-play audio before the first user interaction.
- The playable ad timer must not start until the first user interaction.
- The playable’s sound must be disabled until the first user interaction.
- The playable’s sound must be disabled when the playable closes.
- Advertisers must not add their own Close button; NewsBreak renders the Close button.
Technical Requirements
(Implementation, format, and system constraints)
- The playable ad must be a single-line HTML file with no external references; all images must be base64 encoded.
- The playable must support both landscape and portrait orientations.
- The playable file size must be under 5MB.
- If using WebGL, the playable must periodically check for WebGL availability if the initial check fails.
- The playable must not include any external calls or requests without prior approval from the NewsBreak account team.
- External requests may be permitted only if they:
- Do not contain personal data
- Comply with NewsBreak policies and applicable laws
